Terms and Conditions

As of August 2026

This page is a convenience translation. The German version is authoritative.

1. Scope and provider

These Terms apply to all contracts between Pylot c/o Bayo GmbH, Obergasse 24g, 8854 Galgenen (“Pylot”) and users (“Customer”) for the Pylot website builder and related domain and other services. Different terms of the Customer apply only with Pylot's written consent.

2. Services

Pylot provides a website builder with editor, templates, AI assistant and website publishing. The scope depends on the selected plan (Free, Starter, Plus, Pro) and the service description shown at the time of order.

Further services are domain registration and management and email mailboxes once they are offered. Pylot may develop, change or discontinue features provided the purpose of the contract is not materially impaired.

3. Contract and account

The contract is concluded when the Customer opens an account or orders a paid plan or domain and Pylot confirms it or performs the service. A verified email address is required to register.

The Customer must have legal capacity and provide truthful information. Credentials must be kept secret. The Customer is liable for actions taken through their account to the extent they are responsible for them.

4. Prices and payment

The prices in Swiss francs shown at the time of order apply. Pylot is currently not registered for VAT; displayed prices are final prices without VAT. If Pylot becomes VAT-registered, it will inform the Customer in advance of the impact.

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance and renew automatically for the selected period. Payment is made by card or another offered method through a payment service provider. The Customer authorises Pylot to charge the stored payment method for amounts due.

If a payment fails, Pylot sets a period of seven days. If payment is still outstanding, the account falls back to the restrictions of the Free plan; data is retained. Services tied to the plan, such as domains or mailboxes, may then be restricted.

Pylot announces price changes for running subscriptions at least 30 days in advance. The Customer may cancel until they take effect.

5. Term, cancellation and plan changes

The Free plan can be ended at any time by deleting the account. Paid plans can be cancelled at any time in the account, effective at the end of the current billing period; services remain available until then. Amounts already paid are not refunded pro rata unless the law requires otherwise.

The Customer may switch plans; the amount to be adjusted is shown before confirmation. Pylot may terminate contracts without notice for good cause, in particular for non-payment after the period has expired or breach of section 8.

6. No right of withdrawal

Under Swiss law there is no statutory right of withdrawal for contracts concluded online. Pylot does not grant a voluntary right of withdrawal. Mandatory statutory rights of the Customer remain reserved.

7. Domains

Pylot arranges domain registrations through a registrar. The Customer is the contracting party towards the registry and the holder of the domain. The rules of the respective registry apply in addition. The Customer must provide and keep complete and correct registrant data.

Registration is for one year and renews automatically each year at the renewal price shown at the time of order. The payment method is stored for this purpose; the charge takes place about 30 days before expiry. The Customer can stop automatic renewal in the account. A registered domain is not refundable after registration.

A plan may include one standard domain (.ch, .com, .net, .org, .de or .li) per active paid subscription. Premium domains and other extensions are excluded. The terms of a renewal after the subscription ends are shown at the time of order.

Pylot does not guarantee that a desired domain is available. The availability display is a snapshot; only the confirmed registration secures the domain.

8. Permitted use and content

The Customer is responsible for the content of their websites. They ensure they hold the necessary rights to texts, images and trademarks and that the websites comply with the law, in particular the duty to identify the operator (legal notice) and data protection duties.

In particular the following is prohibited:

  • unlawful, discriminatory, violence-glorifying or pornographic content,
  • infringement of copyright, trademark or personality rights,
  • phishing, malware, spam and misleading offers,
  • attacks on or excessive load on Pylot's infrastructure.

If a violation is suspected or an authority so orders, Pylot may remove content, take websites offline or suspend accounts. Where possible, Pylot informs the Customer beforehand or promptly afterwards.

9. AI assistant

The AI assistant creates and changes content automatically. Results may be incomplete, incorrect or inaccurate and may infringe third-party rights. The Customer reviews content before publishing. Inputs are transmitted to third-party providers for processing; see the privacy policy.

10. Rights in content and software

The Customer retains all rights in their content. They grant Pylot the non-exclusive right to store, process and display this content as necessary to provide the services.

Pylot and its licensors retain all rights in the software and templates. The Customer may use templates for their own websites and their clients' websites, but not resell or pass them on as templates.

On websites in the Free plan Pylot may display a notice referring to Pylot.

11. Availability and maintenance

Pylot strives for high availability but does not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance and problems at third-party providers may cause interruptions. The Customer backs up important content themselves where needed.

12. Warranty and liability

Pylot is liable for damage only in cases of intent or gross negligence and where the law mandatorily provides for liability, in particular for personal injury. Liability for slight negligence is excluded to the extent permitted by law. Liability for indirect and consequential damage, lost profit and loss of data is also excluded.

For services and outages of third parties (for example registries, payment providers, infrastructure providers) Pylot is liable only for careful selection and instruction.

13. Data protection

Pylot processes personal data in accordance with the privacy policy.

14. Changes to these Terms

Pylot may change these Terms. Material changes are communicated to the Customer by email or in the account at least 30 days before they take effect. If the Customer neither objects nor cancels before then, the new Terms apply.

15. Final provisions, governing law, jurisdiction

If individual provisions are invalid, the rest remains valid. Swiss law applies, excluding conflict-of-laws rules and the UN Sales Convention (CISG).

The place of jurisdiction is Pylot's registered office unless the law mandatorily provides another (for consumer contracts in particular the consumer's domicile).
